Our Infrastructure
Our advanced infrastructure is built on modern technology and Industry 4.0 integration, enabling high precision, efficiency, and scalability across operations. With a fully integrated manufacturing setup—including cold forging, machining, heat treatment, and finishing—we ensure complete control over quality and lead time. Backed by high production capacity and in-house capabilities, our facility is designed to deliver consistent performance for high-volume and critical applications.
Special Purpose Grinding
Special Purpose Grinding is a precision finishing process designed to achieve extremely tight tolerances, superior surface finish, and high dimensional accuracy for critical components. It is widely used for parts that require exact specifications and enhanced performance.
We utilize advanced grinding technologies and customized setups to deliver consistent quality and precision, even for complex geometries and high-volume production.
- Ultra-high dimensional accuracy and tight tolerances
- Improved component performance and reliability
- Capability to handle complex shapes and profiles
- Consistent quality across production batches
FAQs
ABC offers centreless through-feed and in-feed grinding for cylindrical components, using centreless grinders capable of achieving tight OD tolerances and surface finish (Ra) values required for automotive bearing and socket components. Both in-house production and external contract grinding are available.
In centreless grinding, the workpiece is supported between a grinding wheel, a regulating wheel, and a work rest blade — without being held between centres or in a chuck. This enables high-throughput grinding of cylindrical components without fixturing, making it ideal for high-volume production of bearing cups, socket ODs, and similar parts.
Yes. ABC's grinding department — including centreless grinders, double disk grinders, and honing machines — can achieve specific Ra (average roughness) values as required by OEM drawings. Typical achievable Ra values range from Ra 0.8 µm to Ra 0.1 µm depending on the process and component.
Honing is a precision abrasive finishing process used to achieve a specific bore diameter, geometry (roundness, cylindricity), and surface texture. At ABC, honing is applied to bore surfaces of components where dimensional accuracy and surface finish are critical to assembly function — such as IBJ socket bores and hydraulic component bores.
Yes. ABC offers centreless grinding, ID grinding, and profile grinding as contract services for external clients in Bangalore and across India. Components can be shipped to ABC's Doddaballapur facility for precision grinding. Contact ops@accuratebearing.in for details.
