Projection welding is a resistance welding process where current and force are concentrated at a small raised projection formed on one of the mating components. The projection heats rapidly and collapses under pressure, forming a strong, concentrated weld nugget. It is the preferred welding process for stabilizer links because it produces highly consistent, repeatable welds at high production rates - critical for a safety component that must survive millions of fatigue load cycles across the vehicle's service life.

ABC uses state-of-the-art projection welding machines with controlled current, force, and time parameters - all monitored and logged for each production cycle. Every stabilizer link sub-assembly then undergoes tensile testing to verify that the weld meets the specified minimum pull-out strength. This 100% tensile verification ensures that no link with an understrength weld reaches the customer - a non-negotiable quality standard for a suspension safety component.

Projection welding offers three key advantages for stabilizer link production: consistency (weld parameters are machine-controlled, eliminating operator skill variation), speed (cycle times are a fraction of MIG/TIG welding), and repeatability (the projection geometry controls weld placement and size, producing identical welds across thousands of parts). MIG and TIG welding, while versatile, introduce more variability and are significantly slower for high-volume production of small sub-assemblies like stabilizer links.

Stabilizer link fatigue life depends on the vehicle application, load spectrum, and design specification -typically validated by the OEM through rig testing to a defined cycle count (commonly 1–2 million cycles at specified load amplitudes). ABC's projection welding process, combined with tensile testing of every link, ensures the weld zone meets the mechanical strength requirements defined by the OEM's design and validation standards.

Yes. ABC manufactures stabilizer links to OEM-supplied drawings across a cup OD range of 25–35mm, rod diameters of 8–10mm, between-centre distances from 65mm to 325mm, and angle configurations from 0° to 180°.
